Description
Song Zhong 宋种 – Phoenix Dancong Oolong from Chaozhou. This prized oolong comes from old tea trees on Phoenix Mountain (1100–1400m), descended from the Song Dynasty era. Legend tells of Emperor Zhao Bing, who was revived by tea brewed from these very mountains. Hand-harvested from trees over 100 years old, Song Zhong is processed using traditional withering, oxidation, rolling, and charcoal roasting. The result is a golden brew with honeyed floral aroma (Mi Yun), smooth texture, and long-lasting sweetness (Hui Gan). Rich, aromatic, and re-steepable, this tea embodies the essence of Chaozhou’s Dancong heritage.
